Tony is our Brisbane office leader and our technology, media and commercial practice group leader for Australia and New Zealand.
Tony is one of Australia's leading intellectual property (IP), information technology (IT) and franchise lawyers. He has wide international experience, particularly in the UK and USA.
With over 30 years in practice, Tony's experience covers both the commercial and dispute related areas of IP, IT and franchising.
Tony's advises the Queensland Government, various Government owned corporations, the University of Queensland, Uniquest, Copyright Collecting Societies, manufacturers, venture capitalists, inventors and a wide cross section of public and private corporations.
Tony has conducted many successful IP and franchise cases. He is also an experienced mediator, having been involved in over 80 mediations.
Tony is the Chairman, Queensland, Intellectual Property Committee of the Law Council of Australia. He is also a member of various professional organisations, including the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, LES, IPSANZ and the International Franchise Association.
Tony regularly chairs, presents at and conducts conferences, seminars and workshops, including submissions to, and appearances before, Government inquiries. He is also an experienced company director.
Tony is also a Squadron Leader RAAF Specialist Reserve (Legal) (RFD) (R'trd).
